I’m a bit late in announcing this at the blog, but after having quite a few past and current clients email me in the past few days, I have finally found the time to write a post.
Britlin Ann Linkowitz arrived on November 20th, at 2:36am. Weighing only 6.36lbs, and a height of 19.5in she was quite the small baby.
Tiffany and I have been trying to get down the parenting, and our new roles in life but we are slowly getting the hang of it. No where near perfect, but it’ll be a work in progress for the rest of our lives.
I have set up an entire blog just for Britlin, to post pictures and keep family up to date. Haven’t had the chance to get too creative yet with shots, or things like that so the work is a bit different then what can be viewed here!

After not taking on any clients for the late Fall and early Winter while awaiting the arrival of my Daughter, the shooting bug has bit me! I had been telling Tiffany for the past two weekends that I was “bored” and wanting to get out and shoot. I’m just happy with the camera in my hands, smiling people in front of me, and the post production time I spend in front of the computer. This morning we met Bennett and Patti with their almost one year old son; Jeb. Patti and Tiffany work at MCV together in the MRICU. We did the shoot at Libby Hill which is a great little spot in the Church Hill area. I’m still experimenting with the family style sessions, figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Jeb is one cute kid, and even struck a pose for the camera a few times. We might have a future photographer on our hands, he was pretty interested in the Canon 16-35 2.8 lens

Thursday was the big day for Adam and Jennifer, what a truly fun couple! The hard part of the day was trying to stop laughing, the easy part was capturing the two of them. A small wedding at Maymont was followed by a dinner with friends at Galaxy Diner in Carytown. Adam and Jennifer are both into cycling, hence the bike picture which was a first for me. Thanks to Adam and Jennifer for letting me be a part of their day, count me in for the next Century Ride.

In August I had the opportunity to do an e-session with James and Brandy, the day was awesome and I had been looking forward to yesterday’s wedding since then. A great couple, who just have a fantastic connection between the two of them. The wedding yesterday was held in McKenney,VA and the weather was great! No rain and more importantly, no heat! Here is the “sneak peek” of the images, I wish James and Brandy a happy marriage, and I hope they enjoy the cruise next week!

On Thursday I had the chance to photograph the wedding of Clint and Tracie at The Mill at Fine Creek. It was my first time meeting the both of them as they live in Hawaii (Very jealous) What a great couple they were, the wedding was amazing and the reception was an awesome time. The Mill at Fine Creek was a gorgeous venue and can only hope to shoot there again soon. Everything was perfect, and couldn’t of asked for a better wedding to be a part of. Congratulations to Clint and Tracie, here are some of the initial edits that ’struck’ my eye. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Bobby and Debbie have tied the knot! They began their relationship 18 years ago, and had a great wedding to celebrate the day. The wedding and reception was held in Topping, Virginia with the Rappahannock River making a picturesque backdrop for their day. It was a great day, that ended with Debbie surprising Bobby with a plane ride over the River. My congratulations go out to the both of them, and thank them for letting me document their special day.

Sarah, a good friend and colleague of Tiffany recently got engaged! The ring is gorgeous, and I must say it will stop people in the street! Congratulations Sarah, looking forward to shooting an engagement session.

Yesterday I woke up early and began watching the weather radar, with rain in the forecast I was a bit worried about how it would effect the day. Tommy and Erin ended up with an amazing day, the rain stopped in the afternoon and the wedding at Maymont went on as planned. Liliana Bindas of Jean Jacques Bakery did a great job with taking the role of coordinator and made the day very easy for me. I want to thank Tommy and Erin for letting me be a part of their special day. A beautiful ceremony and an awesome reception! Here is wishing the best to Tommy and Erin in their future together.

On Saturday the 30th I was lucky enough to shoot a wedding at another location I had never had the chance to photograph at, The James River Cellars Winery, what a great spot in Ashland,VA! The weather was warm, that might be an understatement as the humidity was pretty intense. Besides the temperature, the wedding and reception were amazing. I was glad to bring Tiffany along to assist and keep me inline with the formal shots, and switch out lenses, bodies and cards as it made the day easier for me. Congratulations to Kathleen and Joe, I wish you all the best in the future!
